As we begin our transition into fall, it’s time to reflect on another incredible season at the Centerville Market on the Square. Each year, I’m amazed at how our small-town market continues to grow—not just in size, but in heart, energy, and connection. And 2025 was no exception. This season was our biggest and most vibrant yet, and it’s all thanks to our passionate vendors, our supportive community, and everyone who showed up to shop, sip, celebrate, and support local.

Whether you joined us for a single market, or were a loyal attendee every Saturday, you helped make this season unforgettable. Let’s take a look back at the highlights that made the 2025 market season one for the books.

A Record-Breaking Year for Vendors

This year, 68 unique vendors set up shop at the Market on the Square—51 of whom were brand new to our market. From fresh produce and local honey to handcrafted jewelry, home décor, and delicious baked goods, our vendor lineup was full of talent, diversity, and creativity.

It was especially exciting to see so many new entrepreneurs and first-time market vendors finding their footing—and their customers—here in Centerville. This wouldn’t be possible without our incredible sponsor, Bogle Realty, whose support in covering vendor fees has made the market more approachable for new vendors and helped foster a welcoming space for small businesses to grow.

To all our vendors: thank you for sharing your products, your passion, and your Saturdays with us. You are truly the heartbeat of the market.

Events That Brought the Square to Life

While the market is always about fresh finds and friendly faces, this season we made it even more memorable with special events and community celebrations.

One of the biggest hits? Shop Second Saturday, where we brought in live music to accompany our regular vendor lineup. There’s something magical about hearing acoustic guitar or a soulful voice echoing through the square as people browse booths, sip coffee, and chat with neighbors. These Saturdays had a little extra sparkle, and we’re already working on next years’ lineup.

We also offered free coffee from our friends at Tangleberries at two markets—a small gesture that became a big favorite among early risers and regulars. There’s nothing better than a warm cup of coffee and a farmers’ market to start your weekend right!

And let’s not forget our Kid’s Market—a true highlight of the season. The square came alive with bounce houses, crafts, and face painting, giving our youngest visitors a market day of their own. Seeing kids and families enjoy the market is always a reminder that the market isn’t just for shopping—it’s for building community and creating memories.

Farm to Table Dinner: A Celebration of Local Flavor

To close out the season, we hosted our much-anticipated Farm to Table Dinner, a beautiful evening dedicated to celebrating all the local food our county and state has to offer.

Held inside Luciles’ Steak and Spirits, this event brought together our local vendors, restaurants, and community members for a shared meal that was as delicious as it was meaningful. Every dish was crafted using ingredients grown or raised by local producers, showcasing the incredible bounty of our region. The evening was more than just a dinner; it was a toast to local agriculture, community resilience, and the future we’re building together.

A Heartfelt Thank You

None of this would have been possible without you—our customers, community members, volunteers, and sponsors. You came out in the heat, in the rain, and everything in between. You shopped small, supported local, and helped keep our market thriving.

To those who brought friends, shared our posts, left kind reviews, or simply showed up week after week: thank you. Your support fuels this market and inspires us to keep growing, dreaming, and improving every season.

Looking Ahead: Building on Our Momentum

As we close the books on 2025, we’re already dreaming big for next year. With the momentum we’ve built—thanks to our incredible vendors, successful events, and strong community support—we’re more excited than ever for what’s ahead.

Expect even more variety, more community programming, and even more ways to connect with your neighbors and your food. We’re committed to making Centerville Market on the Square not just a place to shop, but a place to gather, celebrate, and grow together.

If you’re a vendor interested in joining us next year, keep an eye out—applications will open early in the new year, and we’d love to welcome back familiar faces and new ones alike.
