The Appanoose County Fair returns July 20–25\, 2026\, bringing six days of livestock shows\, entertainment\, exhibits\, games\, delicious fair food\, and memories made with friends and family. This year’s theme\, “Stars\, Stripes & Summer Nights\,” celebrates everything we love about county fair season—community pride\, hometown traditions\, and warm summer evenings spent at the fairgrounds. \nWhether you’re cheering on local youth in the show ring\, enjoying live entertainment\, exploring exhibits\, or simply taking in the sights and sounds of fair week\, there’s something for everyone at the Appanoose County Fair. DESCRIPTION:Learn the fundamentals of kayaking during this beginner-friendly class at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday\, July 18 at the Lower Reservoir Boat Ramp in Lelah Bradley Park & Preserve. \nParticipants will receive an introduction to basic kayaking skills while enjoying time on the water. The class is open to ages 12 and older\, and all minors must be accompanied by an actively participating adult. Participants should be comfortable in the water and able to swim. \nSpace is limited\, and advance registration is required. SUMMARY:Appanoose County Conservation Camping Treasure Hunt
DESCRIPTION:Camping Treasure Hunt at Lelah Bradley Campground\nKick off the camping season with a weekend of outdoor fun at the Camping Treasure Hunt hosted by the Appanoose County Conservation Board at Lelah Bradley Campground in Centerville\, Iowa. Campers are invited to spend the weekend enjoying one of Appanoose County’s favorite outdoor destinations while participating in a unique treasure hunt designed for the whole family. \nThe event runs April 24–26\, with the treasure hunt beginning Saturday\, April 25 at 9:00 a.m. Participants will meet at Shelter #1 where ACCB staff will distribute treasure maps and explain the rules. Each campsite will receive its own map leading to a hand-made treasure created by ACCB staff\, making every hunt a little different. \nThis special event is a fun way to explore Lelah Bradley Park and Reserve\, meet fellow campers\, and celebrate the start of spring camping in Appanoose County. \n \nEvent DetailsDate: April 24–26Treasure Hunt Start Time: Saturday\, April 25 at 9:00 a.m.Location: Lelah Bradley Campground\, Centerville\, Iowa \nRegistration & Camping InformationCamping is $25 per night with a two-night minimum stay required to participate.
