The Appanoose County Historical & Coal Mining Museum resides inside the former Centerville Post Office. It is a 1903 Georgian-style building that has 3 stories of exhibits including coal mining, indian artifacts, military, postal, clothing. quilts, textiles, and many more. The research room is helpful to those working on genealogical projects.
