The Southern Iowa Junk Journey Fall Edition is set to take place from October 18th to 20th, 2024, offering a unique road trip experience for vintage lovers, antique hunters, and fans of repurposed treasures. This 150-mile loop covers several small towns in Southern Iowa, where participants will explore a wide variety of shops, barns, pop-up markets, and boutiques packed with eclectic finds. Items range from antiques and farmhouse décor to handmade crafts and one-of-a-kind home accents.
Whether you’re a seasoned junker or new to the world of treasure hunting, the Southern Iowa Junk Journey is an exciting opportunity to discover hidden gems while supporting local businesses and artisans. Along the way, participants can enjoy the scenic fall landscapes of Iowa’s countryside, perfect for a leisurely weekend outing with friends or family. Many of the stops feature charming small-town hospitality, with shops offering unique experiences and special deals just for the journey.
Participants are encouraged to grab a map from a participating vendor (it’s also at the bottom of this page) or utilize the digital map to plan your trip: https://bit.ly/jjfall2024, and plan their trip accordingly to hit all the major stops. Some towns will have multiple locations to visit, giving you a full day’s worth of shopping and exploring at each destination. With a mix of seasoned vendors and newer sellers, this year’s Fall Edition promises something for everyone.
